Enabling Child Account Fields in Wizards
To accurately define the child account (HCP location) relationship, users can enter information into required Child Account fields directly from the Parent Account Wizard and New Object Type Wizard.
When a user creates an account for an HCP and selects an HCO as the parent account, they can enter the company-required information, for example specialty__v and role__v, for the HCP in the Child Account information section.

Configuring Child Account Fields in Wizards for

To configure this feature:
- Ensure Configuring Accounts is complete.
- Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > child_account__v.

Set fields on the child_account__v object as required.
- Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > Veeva Settings.

Select the enable_child_account_in_wizards__v Veeva Setting check box.
When the enable_child_account_in_wizards__v Veeva Setting is used, only child account fields marked as required display.
- Enter the appropriate account object type in the ENABLE_PARENT_WIZARD_OPT_ACCT_TYPES Veeva Setting. This displays the Create from Existing Parent Account check box. See Parent Account Wizard for additional information.
Using Child Account Fields in Wizards as

When users select the Create from existing parent account toggle button, the Child Account section displays between the Address and License Information sections, enabling users to enter child account information when creating an account.
The fields included in the section are based on the following parameters:
Required fields based on the data model
Required fields based on the layout for the Account/Security Profile
Fields with a record in dcr_field_type__v object where the field API name is either:
dcr_required__v
dcr_editable_required__v
